100 plus students faces each other violently having illegal weapons in the campus, is enough to define the next situation. Today the condition of the university is threatening. A large number of police force has covered the whole university including the hostels and 25 plus students are under police custody with IPC sec 307.

Of course this should not be acceptable. Educational institutes are not meant to be structured for producing violent elements. Colleges are not there for making political organizations. Universities are not supposed to define the importance of their existence. If there is something wrong in the institution, then do some against it together with facts and explanations and also with some integrity.

But Himachal University is providing a wrong direction path currently. The protests are going on with some issues which are connected with the students or I can say welfare of the students. But these protests are divided in student’s organizations. Problem is single, but the protests are multiple. Three organizations fighting separately for the same thing. If there is really the so called student welfare then why can’t these leaders come forward with the opposition leaders? May be there are some ideological difference, but the definition of student welfare is obviously not different. And what does a neutral student to do with the so called ideology. If I go to a college for admission, then I would consider that is the college good for my future or not. I would not have to do with the concept that which organization believes in which ideology.

But unfortunately, Himachal University is suffering from a virus called “RAJNEETI”. And to some extent, yes, the politics and political activities are good. There is nothing wrong in it. But I repeat, to some extent. Now question is; what is the limit of that extension? Whatever it is, I can’t define but one thing I am sure about is; the present condition of the Himachal University has crossed that limit.

Now, where is the Student Welfare? Which student is being served by these violent activities? Who want this in an educational institution?

Definitely this has crashed the goodwill of Himachal University in public. Himachal University is ranked as top most university in producing NET and JRF scholars every year. Also there are many other achievements of the University which are graceful but the current violence in the campus has faded away these achievements.

Ultimately the question arises; who is responsible? The students, who are involved in these activities? Or the University administration, who has allowed this kind of politics in an educational institutes? Or the local political leaders who have not come forward to justify the situation? Or the persons like me, who can’t do anything in the matter except writing this shit as an article?

Answer depends on your own analysis. After all, you are also a university pass out or university student…
